In the context of the exhibition „Dancing around Suffering. Finding Light in Darkness“, Kristina Kulakova presents her artistic cosmos for the first time. Curated by Paula Marschalek.
The exhibition deals with often negatively connoted aspects of suffering, offers an alternate way to find balance, freedom, and peace in life. Inspired by mediation, and personal experiences, Kulakova sees life as a dance around suffering, in which something positive can always occur, enabling us to overcome given problems and reconsider the way of life. She will show the photographic series “Dancing around Suffering” as well as new artworks that create a dialogue with the unique architecture of the space, providing new perspectives, and unexpected views.

“People have a hard time letting go of their suffering.
Out of a fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering that is familiar.”
- Thich Nhat Hanh
